Current Funders Supporting Sunningmead Community Asociation PDF Print E-mail

The Association is proud to say that the Community Centre is nearly completely self-sustainable. Our income last financial year was £65,918.

We currently have 4 small funding sources:

  • Mid Devon District Council - who this year provided a Strategic Grant of £1,500 towards, Youth Work as well as Volunteer & Staff Training and Expenses.
  • Tiverton Town Council - who this year provided £600 towards the cost of the rental of our CCTV system.
  • The Lady Amory Trust - who in August kindly provided £3,000 to help get our Youth Club running again.
  • The Heathcoat Trust - who in September kindly provided £250 towards equipment for our Youth Club.

Special Funding Appeal
For the past one and a half years we ran a Roof Appeal to replace and improve the old and outworn flat roof covering and insulation on the Community Centre building. Our target was £50,000. Through our own fundraising efforts and with the help of some wonderful funders we successfully reached that target and were able to raise some contingency money in addition to fund some contingency costs, an access audit, building control costs and some vandalproof paint. Our funders for this project were:

  • Uffculme Environmental Ltd - £25,000
  • The Community Council of Devon - £16.300
  • The Clothworkers' Foundation - £10,000
  • The Garfield Weston Foundation - £3,000
  • Tiverton Children's Centre - £2,500
  • Heathcoat Trust - £2,000
  • Mid Devon District Council - £500
  • Norman Family Trust - £500
  • Tiverton East County Councillor's Community Budget - £500

The Association thanks all its funders for their support and for valuing our work.
